Based on the book "Rope Burns" by FX Toole (aka former trainer Jerry Boyd), this film by director Clint Eastwood takes place in a boxing gym in Los Angeles. The ex-fighter who runs the gym is approached by a young woman who is determined to establish herself as a boxer.
