This film, which is a prequel to Gettysburg, combines fictional and historical characters to tell the story of different battles throughout the Civil War. We are taken from The Battle of Bull Run to Antietam to Fredericksburg to Confederate General Stonewall Jackson’s ill-fated battle in Chancellorsville.

PROMOTION IDEA:

This film features many important historical figures. Have your library do a Civil War retrospective and promote your events in conjunction with each other. Encourage your History professors to offer extra credit if their students attend your showing. If possible have a special showing during the day just for the history classes.
