This documentary style film was done with many non-professional actors to tell this story of unrequited love in Teheran. Lateef, an Iranian, is a young man whose only concern is with making money in his job as a construction worker. He happens upon Rahmat, an Afghani illegal immigrant whom he plays malicious tricks on. Through their interaction, Lateef discovers that Rahmat has disguised herself as a boy to stay in the country. Lateef falls in love with the refugee and wants to make her life easier when the company is ordered to fire all employees of Afghan descent, but his love only leads to more heartache. This heartbreaking and timely film is sure to send the message of the difficulties of life in present day Teheran straight into the heart of your audience.
