Robert Redford stars as General Irwin, a five-star general and renowned military tactician who is convicted and sentenced to "The Castle," a maximum- security prison run by the military. The prison is run with a iron fist by Colonel Winter (Gandolfini) who can’t help but respect the legendary general. That respect takes a hostile turn when Irwin organizes the prisoners to riot against the leadership of the prison.
