| Craig, a frustrated and out-of work puppeteer (John Cusak) trapped in a passionless marriage takes a temporary job as a filing clerk to make ends meet. There he meets the sexy Maxine who spurns his every advance until he tells her of his amazing discovery. In his office, Craig has unearthed a strange portal into the life and mind of John Malkovich. Soon, Maxine and Craig become business partners and sell others the opportunity to be John Malkovich. Complications arise when Craig's wife, Lotte, becomes Malkovich and falls for the sexy Maxine during the experience.
