STILL CRAZY

Stephen Rea, Billy Connolly, Jimmy Nail, Timothy Spall

Columbia Pictures; Directed by Brian Gibson

Rated R; 97 minutes; 1999

A musical comedy about a comeback tour for the fictional 1970s rock band, Strange Fruit. Stephen Rea plays a keyboardist who tries to reunite the band twenty years after their highly publicized breakup at a 1978 open-air festival. STILL CRAZY charts their increasingly desperate efforts to recapture the magic, the music, and the lost opportunities. Jimmy Nail, Timothy Spall, Billy Nighy, and Bruce Robinson round out the over-the-hill band members.
