Inspired by John Irving's 1989 best selling novel A Prayer for Owen Meany, this coming-of-age saga takes place in rural New Hampshire. Two boys learn what it takes to be friends and remain headstrong in an often cruel and challenging world after one accidentally kills the other's mother during a softball game.
