This atmospheric thriller set on a North Dakota Oglala Sioux reservation in the 1970s is loosely based on the real-life events that Michael Apted revealed in his documentary, INCIDENT AT OGLALA. A FBI agent (Val Kilmer) who is part Sioux is sent to the reservation to investigate a murder.
