After losing their NCAA standing, the Texas Southern University (passing for the real Texas State) Armadillos football team looks like it’s headed for disaster. The once proud football factory is now composed of assorted goofballs instead of stud players. But hope arrives in the form of a 34-year-old farmer with a golden arm, ready to recapture some lost dreams as quarterback. Can this unlikely team rise above itself and win a game, or will their hopes be squashed all over the field?
