It’s 25 years and six beach movies later, and clean-cut Annette Funicello and the Big Kahuna (Frankie Avalon) are married and enjoying a secure middle-class life in Ohio. When they visit their daughter in the West Coast, they are dismayed to learn that she is living with a punk rock surfer in this satire that waxes nostalgic over the beach party films of the ‘60s.
