Lowlife Henry Chinaski (Mickey Rourke) is a poet with a penchant for back alley fights, boozy women, and classical music. He meets Wanda (Faye Dunaway) a classy woman with a taste for bourbon and a place in her heart for any guy who will buy her a drink. Charles Bukowski’s makes an appearance as one of Henry’s fellow barflies in this cult writer’s semi-autobiographical screenplay.
