HERE COMES MR. JORDAN
Robert Montgomery, Claude Rains
Columbia Pictures; Directed by Alexander Hall
Black and White; 94 minutes; 1941
This delightful fantasy, from Harry Segal's play about a boxer who dies too early and is sent back to earth only to find that his body has been cremated, was a great success in wartime America. Columbia borrowed one of the screen's great light comedy stars, Robert Montgomery, for his only Columbia picture that also established Evelyn Keyes as a popular female lead.
