What cabaret singer Amy Jolly (Marlene Dietrich) hopes will be a sizzling romance with shy, but stunningly handsome solider Tom Brown (Gary Cooper) fizzles in the Moroccan desert, so Amy pursues the attentions of Monsieur La Bessiere (Adolphe Menjou) in this sultry romance. Dietrich appears in top hat, tie and tails and gives an amazing rendition of "How Much Am I Bid For These Apples."
